Sites are judged on mastery of language, clarity of purpose, ease of use, overall design, photography, organization, and originality. Entrants must submit three URLs for specific pages/stories for the judges' consideration, although the entirety of the site will be considered.

To be eligible in this category, a blog must involve a slate of multiple contributors over the eligible time period. The focus of the blog may be news, entertainment, literary or recipe-driven. This award is meant to recognize the collective strength of these voices in shaping the final editorial product and reader experience. Entrants should submit no less than three URLs that represent at least three writers for the judges’ consideration, although the entire experience of the blog will be considered, and other posts from contributing writers within the eligible time frame are likely to be reviewed.

Entrants must submit three URLs for specific posts for the judges' consideration, although the entire experience of the blog will be considered and other posts within the eligible time frame may be reviewed.

Judges in this category will put the primary weight of consideration into the quality of the photography on the site, followed by overall design, ability to articulate a story visually, originality, organization and ease of use. Entrants for this category may be professional or avocational photographers. The site may or may not contain recipes. In general, blogs submitted in this category should be primarily photos, and make up the majority of the content on the site.  Entrants must submit three URLs for specific posts for the judges' consideration, although the entire experience of the blog will be considered and other posts from the eligible time period may be reviewed.
